Internet stopped working called reported the issue took 5 days for them to call back. Schedule a time for repair they never called or showed ...called and scheduled a second time once again they did not show up or call..it has now been 9 days and it is still not working

Consolidated Communications Internet Service Review

Several of my HD channels become so pixelated that i cannot watch them. My on demand also never works, it will say the server is experiencing difficulties. I have called so many times and they say they have a ticket open but nothing ever happens. This company is the worst. I also have the slow internet speeds. Worst company ever. i would never recommend this company to anyone!

I noticed you're Lufkin, Texas. I am too and I did the exact opposite and went from Consolidated to Suddenlink.

Consolidated is a terrible company, they lock you into a 2 year contract for home phone and internet service for a "promotional price". Then when that contract ends, they raise your rate by $22 a month without any warning that your contract is about to end. I called and asked why my rate when up and they said I needed to agree to another 2 year contract and they would take $25 a month off my current rate.

That's still seriously overpriced for home phone and 6mb DSL internet, which is NOT considered "high speed" internet by today's standards. They're a joke of a company and I highly recommend switching back to Suddenlink.

I'm watching the television and all it does on every single channel is it makes giant pixels from the previous frames and mutes some of the sounds and makes this wierd buzzing sound like a robot. It's so wierd! Also it constantly freezes the screen. This is on some channels of our tv and other channels have little squares of random color on them. I hate our tv provider. Paying for garbage tv shows. I do not like this one bit fix it as soon as possible or you could loose a "valued" customer from this trash. I am not amused by this Consolidated communications. It is going downhill day after day after day

What: Search  Set your location Thanks! Your review has been posted. Consolidated Communications Service sucks!!! "No signal" constantly runs across my tv screen! Also, I come home the other day and my Internet and some cable channels are off; I call and they say it's past due! Yes it is but if you look at ALL my previous payments, they're all on the same day of the month and it's never been turned off!! The CSR says, well.it depends!!! ON what?!!! I could not do any work from home! Be consistent! The Horrible service and no signal half the time should account for my late payment!

Surewest used to be a good company

Surewest merged into Consolidated Communications and the company since has lost all sense of quality and customer service. Now, they charge money for getting a bill. At the same time, they make online billing hard to do and you have make separate payment each month. A good amount of the time, online payment does not work, but they still charge fees. Money grabbing, inferior product, Consolidated has become a member among the evil media overlords. Be very careful about this company and how they try to scratch every bit of fees out of you that they can. one hundred words exactly

Fix my account so I can pay my bills online. Your online services stink. They are so convoluted and I am tired of wasting time trying to do something simple like view my bill. So either fix you online services or figure out another way to pay my bill.

Don't Switch

We had ATT and decided to switch to CCI as they were local with reasonable prices. Supporting a local business is something I do but don't. Speeds are terrible as is infra. I would actually rate comcast as better and that is saying something. The only thing CCI is good at is picking up the phone. They are not good at resolving the issue at hand. The promise only a wired connection which I understand but the instruments are bad and they even bundle TV packages but list them as separate on the bill. If you try to cancel one they say they are all connected. 1 Gig is a joke.

The Absolute Worste Service

So at the beginning of January I actually have to go into Consolidated's office and return the modem and cancel my service because they would not do it over the phone. Well I have been on a business trip for most of January and just returned home (1 Feb 2015) and I received a service bill in the mail covering the month of Jan...

OMG can you believe this company. Absolutely, a company that needs to be closed down!!!

Don't get sucked in by their promise of 6mbps download speed and unlimited data. Yes it is enough for netflix, but far too often the speeds are not up to par. Most people don't check on a regular basis. I would see my speed periodically drop below 4meg and sometimes below 3. I let it slide because of the unlimited data and my really only other option was Hughes net which is very expensive. They will not keep their promise. Within the last month, I have had intermittent to no service to very slow service for 2 weeks going on 3 weeks. I called and they had no answers and said they like to close their trouble tickets within 72 hours. Well, still no resolution. A tech called at 4:30 on Jan 1st, just left his name and said he wanted to work on my internet. Never left a call back number. I am an independent contractor and rely heavily on internet access. I have had to disconnect their modem and use a MIFI from Verizon. So I decided that I want to cancel my service and went to the live chat and they wanted me to call the tech people.lol... what a joke. I repeated I wanted to cancel. They then said I have to call billing and they aren't open till Monday... I guess Consolidated Communication Chat is only if you want to start service or have general questions... What a poorly operated company. I will say customer support is absolutely terrible, response time is terrible, and overall communication with customers is terrible.

Consolidated sucks... that's all that needs to be said.

I've had 2 modems this week and I had to pick it up myself at their store. Didn't fix the problem and I'm still waiting on a technician to get out here to fix it!

yep, that is how they do business. The tech probably won't call before he/she heads to your place so if you're not home they will just out of luck and they will close the service ticket as the owner was not available... Then you'll have to go through the waiting game all over again....

Beyond terrible! DO NOT use Consolidated, you'll be sorry!

Internet beyond slow, could not stream Netflix etc. What was supposed to be 3 mbps service struggled to be .26. After a week of this with over 4 hours of phone calls and ME having to go to their office to pick up new modem & install it, still doesn't work. Tech came out today, Ethernet wired PC works but all wireless devices can't connect to the wifi. After several more hours on the phone with support, they want ME to pay for "advanced support" despite the phone support telling me it appears the new modem and/or router are faulty. Seriously? I've spent so much precious time just trying to get the basic service I pay for. This is a nightmare.

Going thru the same thing. You get screwed at first because they don't put anything in writing or have you sign anything so they can hit you with all kinds of charges that they claim was an oral contract that you can't prove!

Well I plan to fight them to the very end because they can't prove anything either! I won't be bullied into paying money I don't owe.

I should only be paying for the final bill for services provided up to the disconnect date requested, November 5th 2014.

No internet connection

For the last three weeks we have had no or very limited internet service. Each time I call I am told the there is a cable down and they are working on it. Really?? For the last three weeks and no one can figure this out? I am switching and would never recommend a company that can't keep their internet up and running in this day and age! How in the world can this company keep customers with poor service like this. The phone monkeys that answer the calls just continue to read the script to the customer-they have no clue as to what is going on and tech support is unable to answer when this problem will be resolved. Even a supervisor has no clue!

Intnet quits a random times

Internet just quits or a few minutes at random intervals I play a lot of mmo and just as I doing well it quits and I have to start over called company and they just run me through the *** tech sheet you know check cables restart routers etc. I have done this several times and cant seem to catch them when its out and they say cant see a problem. If I could have any other internet service were I am at I would switch. the tech was rude and blamed my equipment then when he tested there modem it was the problem.

Exact same issue here. Internet quits randomly and intermittently sometimes for a few minutes up to an hour.

All devices go out, all Macs, PCs, iPhones, Androids, tablets, all of them go out and stop working. Even if a laptop is plugged in directly to the modem with an ethernet cable, it still fails to work when the internet is out.

Especially because it's finals week, it's really stressing my son out because he has to do research and these outages are driving him crazy. I'm fed up and currently on the line with their customer support service.

Dsl Service Review

I ordered dsl service Aug 29th they haven't hooked up my service yet I finally received my account number on Sep 4th I called their office on the 4th and asked if they hooked up my service and said yes but when I tried to use it they hadn't hooked it up they lied and wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor until tomorrow I do not recommend consolidated communications for internet

Phone and internet out even after the tech came and replaced modem.

Being Saturday, I was upset this morning when I had no phone, no internet and no tv. I called the "help line" and was told no repairs can be made during the weekend.I asked to speak to a "supervisor" and they gave me Ken (no last name as "we are concerned about our safety"). He said he as a supervisor can not get a tech out today, even though there is a consolidated van working in our condo complex as we speak.I told him to go ahead and set up an appointment for monday morning. Then I asked why the tech that came and replaced the modem last week told us he would "leave the ticket open and call us in a couple of days and check the repair". I asked Ken who that tech was and he say's "we have no way of knowing who we sent too your house".Are you kidding me,they have no records kept on repairs done.So i asked if he could bring up the ticket and his response was "we cant find it".I had to hang up after that comment.

Poor Service - RUN, don't walk, away from this company.

Since they are the local provider of phone, internet, and TV, I went with them when I moved to town. It's always something with these guys. Internet slows down to nothing. Internet is out. The software on the DVR is horrible, the DVR regularly loses it's programming for no apparent reason, it resets itself several times per week. Recently, ALL the services went out on 12/23. I had a house full of people for the holidays and we had no TV and no Internet. I called repeatedly and they said they were going to send someone out, only, it's been over a week and no one has showed up or called. One of the TVs has somehow started working, but again, all the DVR programming was lost and the other TV still doesn't work. Internet works off and on. These guys are just horrible. When you call, they basically tell you they can't do anything, someone will have to come out, and it'll be 48 hours before the ticket even gets entered and then they'll call for an appt. RUN from Consolidated.
