No internet connection

For the last three weeks we have had no or very limited internet service. Each time I call I am told the there is a cable down and they are working on it. Really?? For the last three weeks and no one can figure this out? I am switching and would never recommend a company that can't keep their internet up and running in this day and age! How in the world can this company keep customers with poor service like this. The phone monkeys that answer the calls just continue to read the script to the customer-they have no clue as to what is going on and tech support is unable to answer when this problem will be resolved. Even a supervisor has no clue!

Intnet quits a random times

Internet just quits or a few minutes at random intervals I play a lot of mmo and just as I doing well it quits and I have to start over called company and they just run me through the *** tech sheet you know check cables restart routers etc. I have done this several times and cant seem to catch them when its out and they say cant see a problem. If I could have any other internet service were I am at I would switch. the tech was rude and blamed my equipment then when he tested there modem it was the problem.

Exact same issue here. Internet quits randomly and intermittently sometimes for a few minutes up to an hour.

All devices go out, all Macs, PCs, iPhones, Androids, tablets, all of them go out and stop working. Even if a laptop is plugged in directly to the modem with an ethernet cable, it still fails to work when the internet is out.

Especially because it's finals week, it's really stressing my son out because he has to do research and these outages are driving him crazy. I'm fed up and currently on the line with their customer support service.

Dsl Service Review

I ordered dsl service Aug 29th they haven't hooked up my service yet I finally received my account number on Sep 4th I called their office on the 4th and asked if they hooked up my service and said yes but when I tried to use it they hadn't hooked it up they lied and wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor until tomorrow I do not recommend consolidated communications for internet

Phone and internet out even after the tech came and replaced modem.

Being Saturday, I was upset this morning when I had no phone, no internet and no tv. I called the "help line" and was told no repairs can be made during the weekend.I asked to speak to a "supervisor" and they gave me Ken (no last name as "we are concerned about our safety"). He said he as a supervisor can not get a tech out today, even though there is a consolidated van working in our condo complex as we speak.I told him to go ahead and set up an appointment for monday morning. Then I asked why the tech that came and replaced the modem last week told us he would "leave the ticket open and call us in a couple of days and check the repair". I asked Ken who that tech was and he say's "we have no way of knowing who we sent too your house".Are you kidding me,they have no records kept on repairs done.So i asked if he could bring up the ticket and his response was "we cant find it".I had to hang up after that comment.

Poor Service - RUN, don't walk, away from this company.

Since they are the local provider of phone, internet, and TV, I went with them when I moved to town. It's always something with these guys. Internet slows down to nothing. Internet is out. The software on the DVR is horrible, the DVR regularly loses it's programming for no apparent reason, it resets itself several times per week. Recently, ALL the services went out on 12/23. I had a house full of people for the holidays and we had no TV and no Internet. I called repeatedly and they said they were going to send someone out, only, it's been over a week and no one has showed up or called. One of the TVs has somehow started working, but again, all the DVR programming was lost and the other TV still doesn't work. Internet works off and on. These guys are just horrible. When you call, they basically tell you they can't do anything, someone will have to come out, and it'll be 48 hours before the ticket even gets entered and then they'll call for an appt. RUN from Consolidated.

Consolidated Cable is Unreliable

If you can avoid using these guys do!!!! I had a scheduled appointment that I had waited a week for. I was home from 9am to 1pm waiting for the technician who never showed. Nobody called to say he wasn't coming, in fact when I called them at 1pm I was told I would be called when he was on his way, so I waited another 2 1/2 hours, no call. I called them to find out the ETA, only to be told the technician had gone home for the day and was not going to come and would not be rescheduled until more then a week from the day of the appointment. I am being forced by my apartment building to use these jokers. If you can avoid using them please, do your self a favor and DON"T!

Not only can I never watch TV, but even when I can use the internet, it is extremely slow, with low quality picture, often not working at all. Of course, when I have these problems I try to call Consolidated tech support, but let me just say their service is about just...

I spoke with Consolidated Communications about the languishing copper network, as they are about the last connectivity option for a lot of us consumers. I made note of Google Fiber and asked what plans they had to upgrade the network to competitive.

They do not see other providers becoming an issue and clearly fiber is not a threat. They made specific note of Google Fiber and said it was not an issue. With many cable providers installing data caps they hold at least one advantage. We are hardly pushing Internet over outdated copper lines that can't hold a 4K video stream without hiccups.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the original copper from the 1930's is still being used. Hey Consolidated we want Fiber, so what if the last mile installation is prohibitively expensive now it matches the price you charge for the service every month. I seen one article that said some lone company helped them squeeze IPTV onto the copper, extending the life of the network. The Internet is poor when compared to the national average.

Install Fiber please, it's made to handle high bandwidth applications. Someone save us!

Consolidated Communications

We had Consolidated Communications for a long time. Because of where we live "Kinda the Boonies" We are limited of our telephone providers. Consolidated would do *** *** all the time. We call them to ask them what the problem is and they would act like they are ***! Seriously act like they are dumber than ***! Well the last thing that pissed us off is they changed their billing address without telling their customers... Our check bounced many times. They cut off our service. Then wanted to charge a outrages reconnection fee even though it was their fault. This is *** we have put up with for years. And we decided to cancel. The neighboors I hear have the same problems. We now only use cell phones and use Internet by cable.

Consolidated Communications likes to put long distance charges on bills. Granted they may be 11 cents.....

but just how much money will they make when they slip 11 cents by to thousands of people? If it didn't happen so often I wouldn't complain. Folks check your bills!!!! And again, Consolidated.....

I know NO ONE in Tunica Mississippi.. but I'll pay you your 2 measly 11 cent charges that you refused to remove "because they were direct dialed from my home to a cell phone". People I know are usually in BED at midnight..

why would I be calling people I don't know TWICE in one night after midnight? I will be SO glad when Angelina County, Texas gets more providers in here than the rip off companies that have been here all of my life!

We got a charge from a third party on our Consolidated phone bill. We contacted the third party and they said it was an error and they would issue a credit. We contacted Consolidated and they refunded the late fee. The next month Consolidated charged a second late. We contacted Consolidated and they refused to refund the second fee, its tier police, to only refund one fee a year.

Even when it's a billing error. Can't wait to sign up with a new provider.
