Don’t use this company

Always loosing internet signal then wait days to get it fixed Self employed or need your internet to make a living. Then dont rely on this company Yup the string and Dixie cup phone company

Same here in Damon Tx. People at the front of the neighborhood has 40 to 50 meg.

Tech said we have 6 at best. Though we pay the same! The Tech said they are more concerned buying other services then make the system they have work.

We at Peacon Bend have been promised for two years that they will add a switch to the back of our Neighborhood so all can get signal. Tech’s says they have shelved that and won’t even give anyone including employees anything as raises and make them lie to people promises of better service.

Discrimination against Internet service upgrade

We currently have Internet service at 15mps (DSL). We requested an upgrade to 25mps and was told by Customer service that Consolidated Comm Engineering would not honor due to upgrade cost even though we have available multiple DEMARC ports to BOND lines to provide 25mps. Address is 213 Stephens Road - Internet Residential, and 217 Stephens Road Business - Dry Loops are 207864**** and 207864**** respectively. Our neighbor at 249 Stephens road has 25mps and further from DEMARC. We are being DISCRIMINATED and are very upset. Engineering can to this if they TRY but are resisting. Expect the worst

Consolidated Communications - Expect the worst
I've been playing tag with Consolidated Communications since their service was installed about 3-4 months ago. Constantly calling them, horrible download speeds, spotty service, always having to reset the router. I'm paying for 25mbs, but I have only ever seen at most 2.9mbs. If anything on the network is downloading an update, or a video game, then everything else loses internet, or at the very best the network operates at just below dial up internet speeds.

Stay away it's a big ripoff they take advantage of everyone and we have no choice in are area

They play only shows or movies from the 60 70 80 that should be on Turner classic movies and repeat them every day and take shows and play them 24 hrs. a day on like 6 channels . The cable is always going out and they don't call you back and charge us even if we don't have cable working and now we get more commercials then shows .

Don't do it!

Our internet has been slow since they took over. We upgraded our our speed 2 weeks ago, a customer service person told me the 5g would b ready in 24 hrs! So, we have been without internet for 48hrs now's, told by Tec support someone would be here today. No one showed up. Called them, they said I had an appt yesterday? R u frigin kidding me? Now, have to wait until Friday, 1/17. I hope I don't take care of any of ur family, cuz I can't c their info as consolidated communications is more than aweful!

If at all possible find another internet service cause CC sucks

I am paying for 7 mbps and tonight as always I get 0.67 download and I can't even run YouTube. I have called and called and they come out and say they have fixed it then the next day I am right back where I started. Calling and calling all the time to get the same crap. If I could afford another service I would jump on it in a minute but I understand they all throttle you down after getting you as a customer. Sad

Don't get this service

I've only had consolidated for less then a week . I'm having trouble with both my TV's saying no signal and my internet keeps going on and off asked consolidated to come back with tec support . I kept getting sent to different departments after half an hour of being put on hold getting the run around I asked to speak to a superviser (Christy) tells me its not there problem must be my tv's and theres nothing they can do. Now what am I supposed to do ? I thought that that's what CUSTOMER SERVICE was for to service the customer now stuck in a three year contract and it hasn't even been a week

My mother has consolidated at her house which she lives because she gets to see me almost every other day for her internet an tv not working. Just decided to check reviews out of curiosity/ rage. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that this company is deliberately misleading customers and charging them for a service that they not only don’t provide but can’t provide.

Stay away from Consolidated Communications!!!!

In the last month we have talked to five representatives and had three technicians come out and look at our system. we continue to have slow speed or no internet service. the technicians and representatives continue to tell us that we are having no issues with our service.

I wouldn't use them if I had a choice.

Consolidated Communications bought-out my former phone company and so I had no choice but to use them (they are the only local provider.) In the year since that happened the phone and Internet from them has gone out 3 times for around a week each time. Right now we are on the 3rd time and Day 5 of the current outage, Cell phones do not work in my town so I have to use my back-up Internet (from satellite) to get ahold of people to have them deal with CCI for me. I was told to wait at home last Wednesday (and I did) and then to wait at home yesterday (and I did) and no one showed up. I was told they could come today or maybe on Monday (December 2nd.) The CCI Customer Service Representatives - including the supervisors - simply lie to get you off the phone. The local CCI technician gave us his cell phone number to call him directly in case of a problem, but he does not answer his phone or return any voice messages you leave for him. Living in a town with no cell phone service and having no landline phone service for days is a health hazard since in an emergency I would have to use my back-up Internet (not CCI's Internet) to e-mail someone for help and hope that message gets sent to the right local emergency officials. CCI does not seem to care at all about the days-long outages or its effects on those of us who have to go through them several times a year.

I took over my moms account after she passed away and got the account switched over to be in my name and reduced to internet only. The next month I went online to pay my bill and it was $950.

I called and they said it was for equipment not returned. So starting new service might have been better

Don't use this company

In recent years company has gone from bad to worse waited and called two weeks for service on internet repair. Lost the ticket they said over priced no service. go with slower if you have to but go else where numerous billing issues over the past ten years as well with threats of disconnect after paying on time.

Priced too high - Technicians could not fix my computer firewall issues

I kept getting messages that my firewall was not secured. The Consolidated Commuications (CC) technicians forwarded the issue to Kaspersky (a Russian designed and owned security product). After over 14 days (including two passes up to Russia), and SEVERAL attempts to fix the issue, they gave me the number to contact the Microsoft technical staff. Microsoft then passed the issue to a technical contractor. At that level, it took another 4 days to FINALLY fix the issue. I eventually decided to shift over to Spectrum, after the fiasco with CC. Spectrum offers WiFi and landline voice (unlimited long distance in US, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, etc,)

I CALLED FOR INFO THEN CANCELLED ATT DIRECT INSTALLATION IF INTERNET AND THEY ARE STILL BILLING ME CLAIMING INSTALLATION DID OCCURE BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE A STATEMENT OF INSTALLATION THE CS REP TOLD ME I NEEDED A POLICE REPORT TO DISCONNENT What????

Taking advantage of an elderly person

Tried probably 20 to 30 called to port a home number to another carrier before it was finally completed. However, they continued to bill my mother for service to a vacant home. When it was discovered a person named "Cheryl" at ext. 9708 told me that they would credit the account back to the port date, and send a check following the 10/15/19 statement. Instead the 10/15/19 bill shows a balance due! This time when I tried to speak with them they would not because I didn't have a PIN or know my mom's 1st car. Why are they allowed to be in business?
