Horrible customer service

Power went down six days ago, many hours on the phone trying to get someone to come out and address the wires down on my driveway. Eventually had to ask the fire department to move the wires. No internet, kids doing school virtually and I run a business out of our home. They finally come and work on it for about 20min and leave without checking anything, of course it doesn't work. I call again and they tell me the work order is cleared, which means I have to start the process again. Nightmare, going to cancel everything from these people and find a new company and only get internet.

Terrible Internet with Terrible Customer Service

I got trapped into a two-year contract with this terribly slow company. I tried to call just to see if there was anything faster because, but they claimed we had the highest Mbps available. The tech company is also extremely rude and impatient. Wouldn't recommend, Xfinity here I come!

It just doesn’t work

Internet is consistently down. Speed is slow for 20mbps due to them not being able to have priorities differentiated. Im fed up but options are non existent.

I just want it to work

Exhausted with the unreliable internet

I was told that there was a physical issue with the line that leads to my street. Ok. Fine. That was "fixed". For 48 hours, service was OK. Not great but OK. After 2 days, it was out again. I would have internet for 4 hours and the none for 3 hours, then on again, off again. They sent a guy again to fix MORE of what was wrong. They were actually on my street, so I had faith. We were good for about a month, now today, it is off and on again all day. Can't stay connected for longer than 30 mins. A gust of wind seems to be the issue. I wish I could just use my horrible cell LTE to run my office. I could punt-kick CCI right into the dumpster. How ironic that I went to submit this review and my connection went down.

Montgomery Texas. Same typ of issue here going on 5th day.

Maybe 10th phone call. Only exception is that internet works for about 29 minutes then drops out. Call center then prompts you through reboot of router and all of you devices.

Same drill. Works for a bit then drops out.

They are lying about internet pricing.

They state "$xx.xx per month for two years" on their website but I got an increase after six months. I inquired about it and got a call back in two days stating that there is no guarantee that the price won't go up.

Terrible internet service

Don't use this company. If you have an outage they won't notify when it comes back up. You will likely go a week without service before they can have a tech come fix your internet. Don't even think about asking for a credit for said week long outage because they will just keep sending you to different departments. If at any point you ask to speak to a manager, you will be told that they have to submit a request to have someone call you back and even then their "hands are tied". I have had more than one time this has happened.

Internet went out on Sat night. Called tech support Sun morning. First available time for service tech to come was Thursday afternoon from 2-4. 4 came and went still no tech. Terrible service would be an improvement. User's recommendation: Go anywhere else

I am also in Mankato and your review is too kind to CCI - our monthly bill with Hickorytech (which they purchased) was about $89.00 monthly and is just under $200.00 and with announced increases for next month will go over $200.00 monthly. Supposedly another company has asked the city council for approval to come into Mankato and I hope the get it.

CCI has poor service, our local office and tech services were basically closed contrary to what they originally said. These companies should be prohibited from buying up their smaller competitors.

Problems with CCI

I use Consolidated Communications and operate a business. My business phone, internet and email has been down since 9/3/2020 and after many calls and many hours on the phone with CCI staff the best they can do is send a tech on 9/14. When I explained to numerous CCI reps I run a business and cant have my phone line, email and internet down for nearly 2 weeks I was repeatedly told that is all we can do.

Billing and service

I had to complain to the Dept Of Public Utilities in Vt to get the $65 they overcharged me. They jerked me around for weeks and lied to the agency. Finally, got it but they made it as difficult as possible. Now they had been stone walling about the slow service for years. Kept telling me it was a problem in side the house. Finally, a service man came out and fixed the problem on the pole, now my internet speeds doubled. Preparing another complaint for right now.

Billing system

Bill is 6 pg.s long and very confusing, with previous charges listed(last mo. bill was pd. in full), then past due charges of x amount(there is none, but they list some figure) with an * and halfway down pg. they print "please disregard the past due charge if payment has been made. Then list[new charges] (3 items) then Total new charges due 18th of coming month.(This is what I owe, under $100) Next line; Total Due (past due and new) $278. Two weeks prior we get a disconnect notice need to pay some amount I can't figure out how they got that amount. So I call (LOL) and wait and wait yup and wait. I can't talk to anyone to find out what's going on.

Your service is awful...

I waited for over an hour to reach someone relative to a billing question and all I did was sit and listen to a response that "All agents are busy and my call would be answered by the next available agent..... Well, after an hour I went onto the internet to find a management number, but found none....I need someone to contact me at 724-265-****, so I can address my billing question.... Prices go up every month

every single month our bill has gone up,,,they finally got over 100 dollars,,,started out around 75 I think,,hit 100 last month,,,this month 102 and some cents...is that even legal? Probly...

Problems with payments

The reply to my complaint is always Call the company. As my complaint states I've call several time and they don't resolve my problem.

When I think I'm texting them directly I end up going to Pissed Consumer which says they will send it to the company.

I never hear form the company just from Pissed Consumer telling me to call or update my compliant as I'm doing now. I believe Pissed Consumer is where the company sends your compliant to circle the bowl.

Consolidated Communications 8/2/2020 My Acct # 065500**** Though I pay my bill before the due date by online banking and can see the payment clears on the due date at the latest. I am always billed for two payments as if I was overdue. I have called customer service several times about this problem but it continues. We tried having our payment posted to our credit card but that proved problematic. Somehow we were considered in arrears with that system. These problems did not occur when our provider was Fairpoint. Your assistance in this matter would be appreciated. Sincerely, Art and Judy Lewis

Non existent service

I have had internet issues since May 2020. Had DSL because I was told I couldnt get fiber. Finally a repairman who installed fiber to a neighbor was able to get me fiber on July 17,2020. My alleged 50 meg speed is no where near that (2-13 meg). I had a repair ticket made 10 days ago and was told I would take 5 days to get service. A repairman came out after 4 days without a phone call and because I wanted home the ticket was cancelled. I called and got another ticket created. It is now 5 days and no word from consolidated. I have been on phone with customer service and technical support and have been told it is in process. Everyone passed the buck and had minimal information to give me.
