Terrible company avoid if you are able to.

We originally had Metrocast cable internet but they ruined a underground cable and tried to make us pay $400 to replace the underground cable they destroyed so we decided switched to Fairpoint and they were good but they were then bought out by Consolidated Communications and our internet speeds have dropped and reliability has decreased but our prices have increased. We are looking at options including going to Atlantic Broadband (The new name of Metrocast likely we will have to pay the 400 dollars extra to get the cable replaced) or Elon Musk's Starlink once its out of beta.

Email conversion really messed up

CCI acknowledged the issues and even contacted me. They did restore the lost Contacts but won't make any changes to fix the other issues.

CCI "upgraded" their webmail service and really, really screwed it up. They took a perfectly good service and ruined it. 1. They lost all our contacts. 2. They lost all Trusted senders. 3. They removed all message filters. 4. They destroyed all subfoilder setups with no way to restore. 5. Too much white space and more scrolling. 6. Folders don't show how many emails are in them. To

Horrible service

The worse service ever. I am contacting Elon Musk internet service and dumping this company. I have had internet service for about an hour in 3 weeks total, and they keep coming over and patching lines rather than replace them. The lines are ancient. Every time I call I spend 30+ minutes having to unplug the modem, do the whole ping thing, have them tell me that I am not getting a strong signal, I KNOW!HorribleHorrible service

Worst Company Ever

All this company does is raise your bill and has very bad customer service. On TV there is nothing to watch except the same old things, sports, news. Boring!!! I'm on a bundle package to reduce my bill, but gradually it goes way up again. $182.00 a month for nothing and I don't have any premium channels. What a rip off!!! I would recommend looking else where.

Poor download speed

Everyday I have to unplug the modem, leave it unplugged for 10 to 20 minutes in order to watch television without it buffering constantly. Very poor download speed. I have good signal strength but poor download speed. Its time to switch companies.

Internet will not work

Our internet is constantly disconnecting. At least one time every hour I have to turn off everything ,wait 3 minutes and turn consolidated box back on . I have to put in code for it to reconnect. It has been doing this now for the last 3 weeks. We have to turn our phones off if we want to watch TV. We have to turn our TV and phones off if we want to use our lap tops for service. Which I had to turn the TV and my phone off so i can report it right now on our lap top. We are haveing so much trouble with connection and service it is not worth what it is costing us for internet .

Prices raise every month now Fairpoint/ Consolidated Communications for over 26 years and now the prices rise every month since Consolidated Communications took over.

I have been a customer of Fairpoint/Consolidated Communications for over 26 years and since Consolidated took over the prices go up every month. Leaving in a rural area does not help if you need a landline. It is a Catch 22 however, I am going to find a way to leave this horrible company that takes total advantage of their customers even if you have been what they consider a valuable one at that....look around before you choose them for your option.

Very Poor customer service - looking at changing vendors ASAP if I don't hear back.

To much crap to go thru! Have had a bundle with this company since its origin, , , Everest, then SureWest, and now CCI. NOT satisfied at all! LOW speed on cable, TV sucks with it going out all the time, and internet goes out for email all the time! TIME TO SWITCH!!!!

Bad service

I have been with this company since 2007. Since then my bill has been rising to almost $240.00 a month for TV, phone and internet. Today they changed my email which they said they would be doing this about a month ago. They chose to do this while I am trying to get an update when a plumber will arrive. I was affected as ALL of Texas has been from the freezing weather last week. I called the company, after waiting for almost 25 minutes to speak to someone. I was told they had taken the system down I have to call back later. I hate this company and would NOT recommend them to my worst enemy!!!

Pissed off at very very bad service

filed out email contact form on problems i had with service and within 1 minute got standard form email to call for service at 844-968-**** but that is the same number I told them I keep getting server unreachable response. They NEVER read my email explaining the problems they just keep sending unreachable phone numbers. there is NO WAY to contact them.

BILLING ISSUES

2 months ago I called to lower the cost of my current phone bill. The person i spoke with told me it would be cheaper if I switched from my current small business plan 118.00 a month....to a residential plan. They set a plan for me to my existing business plan, but it would be 75.00+/- a ,month . The employee i worked with told me that my next bill would be high but to ignore it because the next bill would contain all the "credits"... I continued to say over and over again... "I DO NOT WANT TO CHANGE MY CURRENT PLAN IF IT IS GOING TO COST ME MONEY! NO SWITCH OVER FEES RIGHT? NO HIDDEN FEES? NO EXPENSES INVOLVED? Of course, I was told yes yes yes.... And of course that is not what happened..run as
